Welcome! The museum FLUXUS+, a museum of modern and contemporary art, specialises in the Fluxus movement. With its large private collection of works by Wolf Vostell and other contemporary artists, the museum FLUXUS+ is a unique institution within the museum and art scene of Berlin, Potsdam and the surrounding area.

The museum's diverse temporary exhibitions, regular music events and art mediation programme support the cultural development of the region and offer eye-opening insights into the much discussed art of the Fluxus movement as well as contemporary art.

Collection

The permanent exhibition encompasses works from private collections, including correspondence, photographs, books, catalogues, magazines, films, videos, objects, performance relics, artists’ multiples, installations and tableaux.

The focal point of the collection is an extensive display of artworks by Wolf Vostell, a pioneer of the Fluxus movement. The artworks are organised in thematic sections and provide a comprehensive overview of phases, themes and techniques in Vostell's œuvre, starting with his early pieces of which many are not well known.

The "plus" in museum FLUXUS+ stands for its inclusion of related styles and artists like Arman, Christo, Hains, Lebel, Niki de Saint-Phalle and Ann Noël. Finally, the works of four contemporary artists complete the display of the private collection. They offer an outlook on a modern-day interpretation of the Fluxus maxim “art is life, life is art”.
